ORAVELTA
Oravelta Proxy / Existing movement, new access

Access is
already moving.

Someone is already at the market, near the shop, or going your way. Proxy connects that presence and spare capacity with someone who can use it.

Concept / Pilot planningWhy we’re building it
01 The idea

Make an existing
journey more useful.

A person may need a small item without the time, transport, or ability to make a separate trip. Nearby, someone else may already be in the right place.

Proxy explores a network that connects those two situations. The useful resource is existing movement: a route, local presence, access to a place, or a little room to carry something.

Our starting direction is a local small-goods pilot in Elk Grove. The work is to make a simple request, purchase, and handoff understandable and dependable.

02 The exchange

Clarity from request
to handoff.

Know what is being requested.

The proposed experience begins with clear item details, an agreed service fee, and limits on what the carrier is accepting.

Keep communication open.

If a size or item is unavailable, the carrier can ask about a substitution before purchasing. Receipts make the item’s price visible, separate from compensation for time and effort.

Meet where the journeys connect.

A handoff can happen at a convenient public location along overlapping routes. It does not need to bring either person to a private home.

Imagine this

Someone is already visiting a farmers market. A nearby person requests an item, the carrier confirms the details and price, and they arrange a public handoff along a route one of them was already taking.

03 The network

Reward presence.
Build trust.

Proxy’s future includes ways to signal verified participation and relevant experience, so a requester can understand who is offering access. Reliability should be earned through useful participation.

At events or limited-capacity locations, a person could announce available purchase slots before checking out. Quantity limits and purchase transparency would keep the exchange focused on useful access.

The compensation is for service, presence, and effort. The design should discourage speculative resale and hoarding.

Proxy remains in pilot planning. The first operating model will need clear rules for fulfillment, purchase limits, cancellations, and reliable handoffs before expansion.

More access from movement that already exists.

04 Our greater purpose

Why we’re
building Proxy.

Sometimes the barrier is knowing someone can reach what you need while you cannot make the trip yourself. Time, transport, distance, and access to a particular place can all shape that gap. We are building Proxy to connect an existing journey with a useful request.

Proxy brings Oravelta’s material access mission into an everyday exchange. Better coordination can make presence, movement, and spare carrying capacity more useful to the people around them, while compensating the person doing the work.

This connects to the same question behind our larger productive vision: how can available capability reach more people? Proxy begins with human cooperation and local movement. Transparent prices, clear agreements, and dependable handoffs are how that purpose becomes a service people can evaluate and use.
